Course Maintenance scheduled for June 6-7, 2018

May 30, 2018

The 4 courses listed below are scheduled to undergo maintenance. The courses will be offline beginning Wednesday evening (June 6) at 5:00 p.m. CST. We expect maintenance to be completed by Thursday morning (June 7) at 10:00 a.m. CST. A blog post will go out when maintenance is complete.

  • ASME-0641 e-TNG Visually Inspect Pipe and Components Prior to Installation
  • ASME-0641 KNT Visually Inspect Pipe and Components Prior to Installation
  • ASME-0711 e-TNG Joining of Pipe – Compression Couplings
  • ASME-0711 KNT Joining of Pipe – Compression Couplings

These courses are using the refreshed MEA brand and new user interface. In addition, these updated courses will also have the new knowledge test functionality. If a course session is ended for any reason prior to receiving a passed or failed score, the status will change to “In Progress” and the EnergyU Administrator will be required to reset the course. A trend toward tighter regulations and a desire to have more oversight of online knowledge tests has prompted this recommendation by the MEA Technical Training Committee.

Remember… After a course has undergone maintenance, it is important that users verify a status of “Not started” to ensure proper recording of a new score.

As previously communicated, these courses are using the refreshed MEA brand and new user interface.

These updated courses will also have the new knowledge test functionality. Course users will only be allowed to open a KNT course once. If a course session is ended for any reason prior to receiving a passed or failed score, the status will change to “In Progress” and the EnergyU Administrator will be required to reset the course. Users will not be able to launch an “In Progress” knowledge test until the course is reset.

Functionality of the training (TNG) courses will remain the same — users will be allowed multiple sessions to complete, and users will be able to review learning content of completed courses.

Remember… After a course has undergone maintenance, it is important that users verify a status of “Not started” to ensure proper recording of a new score.
