Important Changes coming to EnergyU Billing

January 9, 2019

We’re making it easier to do business with MEA.

EnergyU is moving to annual billing.
EnergyU rates will increase in June 2020.

Within the next few weeks, EnergyU administrators and billing contacts should receive an email with rate information and options for the transition to annual billing. This may involve prorating a portion of licenses to get all licenses on the correct cycle.

What you need to know about annual billing:

  • Renewal invoices will only be sent out once per year, regardless of when licenses were added.
  • An annual subscription runs from July 1 through June 30; renewal invoices will be mailed in June.
  • Additional licenses will be prorated and invoiced at the time they are added, and renewal invoices will be mailed in June.

What you need to know about the June 2020 rate increase:

  • This is the first rate change since 2002.
  • There are still no maintenance fees and no charge for EnergyU Support.
  • In addition to the Learning Management System (LMS) for training and knowledge tests, the new EnergyU rate is inclusive of the Records & Compliance Management System.*

Contact MEA Support with questions regarding your new rates or billing schedule.

*Optional; separate onboarding and administrator training required.

ASME Course Update Schedule

November 28, 2018

We have been busy updating the ASME online library of courses. So far 72 training and knowledge tests have been updated, and we still have 226 to go. As the course updates continue, we do not want to bombard administrators with blog posts and emails every time we do maintenance, so we will instead provide where interested parties can monitor the ASME course maintenance schedule.

Please click HERE to view the status and schedule for ASME course updates.

Course maintenance will typically occur on evenings and weekends. If you cannot find a course in your course list, please refer to the online document for the course status.

For example, course maintenance will be performed on the following six courses on Sunday, December 2, 2018 beginning at 8 a.m. CST:

  • ASME-0051 e-TNG Installation of Exothermic Electrical Connections
  • ASME-0051 KNT Installation of Exothermic Electrical Connections
  • ASME-0211 e-TNG Measure and Characterize Mechanical Damage on Installed Pipe and Components
  • ASME-0211 KNT Measure and Characterize Mechanical Damage on Installed Pipe and Components
  • ASME-0871 e-TNG Installation of Steel Pipe in a Bore
  • ASME-0871 KNT Installation of Steel Pipe in a Bore

The online document will reflect these courses as being offline. Once course maintenance is complete, the updated courses will change in status.

As always, make sure users understand that courses should have a status of “Not Started” prior to launching. A KNT with a status of “Failed” or “In Progress” must be reset by the administrator.

Feel free to contact MEA Support with any questions or concerns.
